Chimo Youth and Family Services is a not for profit agency accredited under Children’s Mental Health Ontario, licensed and funded under the Child and Family Services Act and administered by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services. We are a community based service mandated to provide intervention services for children, adolescents and their families who experience behavioral, emotional, social, and learning problems in their daily life.

Sunderland GO Time
Great news! This year we have added yet another Character Education component to our Safe Schools plan. Each Day 5 on the cycle, our students have begun participating in divisional activities focused on such activities as RESPECT is #1, and When You See A Bully. These activities are designed to provide our students with the opportunity to share experiences and committments towards making our Sunderland PS community a safe and inclusive space for all. Our next focus is: Bullying Prevention. Way to 'GO' SPS!

Family Literacy Night
On February 1st, 2012 our community will celebrate family literacy with a Literacy Night involving storytelling, family reading, fiction/non-fiction activities and technology. Beginning at 6:15 pm and running to 7:30 pm, what a great opportunity to bring families together while celebrating reading and writing skills. The 2012 Music Festival is coming up!
Please note that music will be distributed to students who have registered soon! Instrumental students need to find their own music and can see Mr. Spencer for guidance with this.
Students and parents are responsible for rehearsing, preparing, finding an accompaniest and arranging rides to and from the festival. Some time may be given by teachers to coach soloists, but this is not guaranteed. Read the Full Story
